Butleigh Village Somerset
Butleigh Parish Council Web Site
The Butleigh public footpath network has been extensively improved in recent years, replacing stiles by gates, replacing decaying gates, improving the walking path and the general clearance of overgrown vegetation.
These have been carried out by willing volunteers from our village and from local Rambling clubs with the cooperation of several landowners, some of whom have contributed to the cost of new gates.
Other funding has been obtained from County and Parish Council grants.
A new display board showing the local paths as well as The Polden Way and the Mendip Ring has been erected outside our village shop where the local footpaths, linking regional paths and the Polden Hill and more local Whitefield Reserves are clearly indicated.
For any information, comments, informing of obstructions or offers of volunteer help please contact the Butleigh Parish Clerk or ring 01458850473
